Staff Accountant

We are looking for a team oriented fast learner with strong communication skills who can demonstrate his/her skill in a rapid paced and dynamic environment. Primary responsibility is to provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements.

In this role you will: 

  •  Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
  •  Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
  •  Prepares and complies with daily and monthly bank reporting requirements
  •  Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
  •  Maintains proper backup files for research, reference, and budget notes
  •  Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  •  Communicates and partners with other departments to understand spend in detail for each respective budget
  •  Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  •  Open minded to receiving feedback and adaptable to pivoting in a fast-paced environment
  •  Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes for improvement and efficiency

 Qualifications:  

  • B.S. in Accounting or Business required.
  • 2+ years of accounting work experience required.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel – pivot tables, v lookup, sum if, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
