Sr. Product Marketing Manager

The Clean Beauty industry is fast-paced and constantly evolving, requiring our product marketing team to be proactive and nimble. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance and deliver immediate business impact, as well as long-term strategic planning, and will be able to effectively collaborate and communicate across a large cross-functional team. †This position requires strategic planning, excellent organization and follow-up, effective oral and written communication, and a self-managed person who can multi-task and embrace the Beautycounter mission and values.

The Manager, Marketing†will develop and manage all†product marketing activities in the Makeup category to help bring to market new and innovative products. The Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading collaboration and communication with all departments (including Product Development, Operations, Brand Marketing, Sales, and Finance) to deliver†product launches†with go-to market plans that drive sales growth and meet our financial objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:†

Product Marketing:

  • †Maintain pulse on innovations in the industry (retail and direct)
  • †Perform market analysis to make strategic new product recommendations†to round out portfolio or capitalize on white space opportunities
  • †Own creation of product briefs including positioning,†ingredient storytelling†and benchmark identification
  • Analyze†performance of†product launches and ongoing Core business†to identify trends and support growth initiatives
  • †Develop ownable product positioning strategy for†Makeup category
  • †Partner with necessary departments to lead product development process

†Marketing Calendar:†

  • †Develop launch plans for new product introductions in partnership with Senior Director, Marketing
  • †Lead the creation of differentiated marketing strategies for†Makeup†categories
  • †Build 360 cross-channel campaigns to deliver business objectives, working across all cross functional departments
  • †Collaborate with ecomm teams to drive strategic product messaging for†email marketing calendar†and website updates
  • Lead†creation of consultant support materials for US & Canada

Activation:†

  • †Plan offers in partnership with Sales Team to support consultant and consumer initiatives that help achieve sales goals in both the US and Canada, including retail partnerships
  • †Partner with Content Marketing on blog concepts to deliver consistent product and brand messaging
  • †Partner with Social team to create assets for US & Canada that align with Marketing Calendar; communicate to Sales team

Qualifications:†

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:†

  • 5-7 years of experience in Marketing, preferably at a beauty brand
  • Bachelorís degree
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • Ability to manage across multiple teams, projects, and priorities efficiently and effectively
  • Passion for / active involvement in the digital and social landscape
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to express creativity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
